stainless steel elbow

Stainless steel elbows are coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the elbow for aesthetic and rust prevention purposes. The main method currently used is hot-dip galvanizing.

Product Details

Cold galvanized elbow and hot-dip galvanized elbow

Hot dip galvanized elbow is formed by dividing zinc into three steps in liquid state. The surface of the elbow is dissolved by the zinc liquid to form a zinc iron alloy phase layer; The zinc ions in the alloy

layer further diffuse into the elbow matrix to form a zinc iron mutual solution layer; The surface of the alloy layer is wrapped with a zinc layer.

Hot dip galvanized elbows have a thick and dense pure zinc layer covering the surface of the elbow. Galvanized elbows can avoid contact with any corrosive solution, protecting the elbow substrate from

corrosion. In the general atmosphere, a thin and dense layer of zinc oxide is formed on the surface of the zinc layer. It is difficult to dissolve in water, so it plays a certain protective role on elbows. If zinc

oxide forms insoluble zinc salts with other components in the atmosphere, its anti-corrosion effect is more ideal.

Cold galvanizing, also known as electroplating, is the process of using electrolytic equipment to remove oil, acid wash, and then place the pipe fittings in a solution containing zinc salts. The negative

electrode of the electrolytic equipment is connected, and a zinc plate is placed opposite the pipe fittings. The positive electrode of the electrolytic equipment is connected to the power supply, and a

layer of zinc is deposited on the pipe fittings by using the directional movement of the current from the positive electrode to the negative electrode. Cold galvanizing elbows are processed first and then

galvanized.

The zinc coating is thick, with fine and uniform crystallization without pores, and good corrosion resistance; The zinc layer obtained from electroplating is relatively pure and corrodes slowly in acid, alkali

and other mist, effectively protecting the base of the elbow. The galvanized elbow forms white, colored, military green, etc. after passivation with chromic acid, which is beautiful and elegant, and has a

certain degree of decoration. Due to the good ductility of the galvanized elbow, it can be formed through various processes such as cold stamping, rolling, bending, etc. without damaging the coating.
