In terms of electric furnace plants, with the intensification of losses in the past week, some steel plants have shortened their operating hours, resulting in a significant decrease in capacity utilization while the operating rate of the electric furnace plants has not changed much. According to data from steel mills, the daily arrival of scrap steel from 61 steel mills has slightly increased, daily consumption has slightly decreased, and the decline in scrap steel inventory in steel mills has narrowed. In addition, the number of steel mills with losses further increased last week, and some electric furnace factories actively reduced production time, resulting in a decrease in demand for scrap steel; At the same time, despite high production costs, the enthusiasm of steel mills to replenish scrap steel is not strong. Therefore, in the short term, it is expected that the risk of scrap steel price decline will still exist this week, or maintain a volatile and weak operation.
